Nice E30, I normally HATE chrome cluster rings... but yours look different. I actually like them.

yea i got the cheapo cluster chrome rings and put them in but the one for the fuel gauge popped out the other day so i pulled them all off and scuffed the chrome off with some red scuff pad and i think they look 100x better.

today was a good day, drove over to a local E30 owner's and traded my bottle caps for his weaves plus $40 on my side. but the real deal was he GAVE me a pair of tan leather sport seats. the passenger really isn't bad, driver needs a lower left bolster but they will both get recovered in grey leather to match my interior so im quite happy.

well the car has been done for a few weeks or so. picked up a 5spd swap today so now i just need to order some parts like the input shaft seal, selector shaft seal, etc. then toss that in as well.

after a unsuccessful scrub down at home its off to work


there we go, a hour in a solvent tank and a scrub brush


awaiting input/output shaft seals and a selector shaft seal to arrive tomorrow. then will come a new throw out bearing, pilot bearing, and shifter.

just picked this up off craigslist, BNIB dainkin clutch kit. new they are $220 or so, i just paid $15. so tonight im gonna start tearing apart the car again to get rid of this automatic.

swap is done, took 16 hours roughly start to finish over 1 night after work and the next day.
