I think I fixed it. I changed to a 173 ECU and no longer get a CEL at idle.

Well, I still have a CEL. It says it is O2 related. I think it is still a vacuum leak.

    It is not:
    -exhaust leak before O2 sensor
    -O2 sensor
    -inatake gaskets
    -t-body gasket
    -t-body boot
    -all vacuum lines look good
    -breather hose is new

    What else could it be?
    Gas cap
    dip stick
    brake booster
    charcol canister

How can you check these things?

The CEL only comes on when idleing. It stays on when I drive though. Could the tps, ICV or idle setting be causing a CEL? It idles right around where it should now.

The problem was that the fpr was getting caught on the oil cap and I couldn't even get them where they needed to be. At first I couldn't get the fpr off, I pulled and pulled and it finally came off. The rail went right in. I now have no more CEL! Driving without a hood is so much fun! People stare at you the whole time!

I just graduated on May 20th. It was such a great feeling. My car made half the journey with me and will continue on with me through college at NMSU.

The injectors should just pop right back into the fuel rail.

Put some oil on the o-ringzzz

Sick IX man. Know how you feel, I loved having my e30 during high school. Every minute of it.
Just graduated today, and it felt so nice cruising away from the football field.

Looks good man. Let me know how it runs once you get it all done. You don't have a 173 ECU?

This explains the fuel injector process, but no pictures. Good luck.

Well, I hit a wall tonight. Lambo and I got the manifold painted and had no problem putting the manifold on. The bitch tube was no trouble with two people. However, we hit a wall. We can't get the injectors to go into the fuel rail. Any help there? They go into the manifold.

However, my ECU came. My injectors don't come until thursday though :(

I found out it was an intake manifold and throttle body gasket leaking.

I got those gaskets from Blunt today, thanks again Blunt! I also got my Mark D chip, thanks Downersp! Tomorrow the 173 ECU and injectors should be here. Monday my wooden shift knob should be here!

    I can't wait.

Thats what I thought. When I bought the car, it was from a dealership, and it had a few lights on on the check panel, which would fail emissions, so they unplugged them in order for it to pass emissions. I guess they couldn't sell a car without it passing emissions or some bull. I wanted the car, so I didn't really care.

Right now it is at a shop having a mechanic check for intake leaks. I am really hoping it is just the injector o-rings and intake gasket. I will update with pictures later.

It is quite nice in the winter. I have tried to get it stuck, but I can't. Even on crappy all seasons.
