I am willing to take bets that I will see the new year getting a bj before this head job is over.

You know, when I was first getting into e30's, I saw your thread and i was just thinking..damn, people must deal with having their cars not running for months on end so often..but anyways, congrats on getting it running. Now give marco his tractor back and enjoy your e30!!
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Whooo whoooo! What's next after fluids? Selling the tractor and investing in the Eta?

I like that your car still has the sound for when the door is open.

any idea on what would cause the cooling system to be pressurized?

car runs cool but then all the sudden the cooling system pisses out of any fitting it can, even if the fittings are tight enough.

maybe the head bolts arent tight enough? any clue as to whats going on here.

what torque should the head bolts be at?

                            I believe it's 22ft/lbs, then 90* and another 90*

1st pass: 22 foot pounds, 2nd 90* degrees (1/4 turn) 3rd 90* degrees (1/4 turn) start in the center and crisscross towards the ends

this is the process i used when bolting the head down.

i'm curious as to what the final ft lbs/NM should be after this process, so i can double check the head bolts.
