I'd make some sort of heatshield for that passenger inner CV boot. you'll probably melt through them twice a year with the exhaust that close to it. don't ask me how I know this..

what are you doing with the brake issue now?

Good idea with the head sheild, i didnt think of that.

Im going to space the top of the brake unit to tilt it down a bit. which will be enough to clear. Then run remote reservoir from a 2002.

This is awesome. Good read so far!

How much power can the drivetrain actually take? Like a 300whp AWD E30 would be sweet! If it holds up!

Brakes are still an experiment in progress.... found this old 2002 MC.. which when mated with the E23 hydroboost is VERY small...too small maybe....

              fits though..

going to remote mount the res anyways just to make some room..

Looks great except I'd be worried about that fpr mounted down there. It could easily catch on something and rip the fuel lines apart spraying fuel around... I would relocate that ASAP maybe use the obd1 fuel rail with built in fpr?

i am going to secure it better and tuck the wires and lines up, but that actually is the factory e36 mounting location too...

ran the codes today and found that my MAF is shot... no wonder it ran like shit with it plugged in...

The only other codes i got where the rear O2 sensors... which arent hooked up

Document it well, many iX folks (including myself) would love to do this sometime down the road!

I decided to scrap the hydroboost plan... it just wasnt looking like it was going to work...

                            soo... plan B

                              updates

Oil pickup was not working properly, so i had to pull everything apart and fix it. threw it back onto my mock up M50 block for fixing.
