    87 325e/91 325ic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hey guys, I bought a very clean 1987 zinnoberrot eta about two weeks ago. I bought it for $2500. The mileage is only 120xxx miles. Water pump and timing belt were changed less than 1000 miles ago by a BMW dealership. The interior and exterior are very clean. The only thing that it needs replacing is maybe the muffler and struts. Anyways here are the pics.

    What I am planning for this car;

    -Complete Suspension overhaul
-Rims (thinking 16x8 Grids *flame suit on) + rubber
-Custom Exhaust all the way from header back
    -Buff rest of car
    -Shadowline
    -Remove Pinstripe (done)
    -Debadge 325e (done)
    -Clean clean clean

    It is my only car

Anyways within the first day, I decided to see what I could do with the slightly faded color. I buffed it and it came out great.

The next couple days, I went and bought some duplicolor trim paint. I wanted to make the trim and stuff look pretty much brand new. I did the door handles, side mirrors, window wipers and gates, and also the kidney's/grills. pics

I don't have pics of before/after, but holey s*** they turned out good. They were a grey color before.

Since I bought my e30, I have been cruising around craigslist for some plastic bumpers. I was able to find a rear and front with all items for $150 local. I was so happy. They are not my color, but I am just going to do some duplicolor paint on them. Anyone know a duplicolor paint that is close to zinnoberrot? Thanks

Here is a pic of the Plastic bumpers

So tonight I decided to start disassembling the front diving board. It only took about 20 minutes to get it off.

bammm. Didn't have time to cut off the tow rings and test fit it. I wanted to so bad, but It is still 105 degrees out at 9 p.m. (damn you arizona). So next thing I will be doing is sanding/prepping the front plastic bumper so I can get it painted.

Looking good. How do you like the duplicolor trim paint?
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Wow, that's a really nice start! Is there any way for you to tighten up the gap between the bumper and the rest of the bodywork?

Great job so far! that paint matched super well for 40 bucks.

To pull of the grids(Volk TE37 are better) you will need LOW and some good amount of stickers ;) I suggest Ground-control.com coilovers and Bilstein sport shocks.

Nice plans and I will be checking back.

I bet it looks better in person without the flash. Nice work.

definitely. The flash makes the clear look like s:hitler::hitler:t. The bumper looks 1000 times better in person.

Hahaha. I have been addicted to grids for some time now.

              Previous car

I plan to keep this car pretty tame. Not too set on the rim choice, but this is my relatively cheap DD as of now. Bought it for 2500$, spent probably 400-500 on maintanence and general things.

I am looking to pick up a late model front valence. The hardware for the sides wont work with my 87 325e valence. I can cut a small area out on both sides, and then bring it in closer, but I don't want to just cut something

So washed the car and decided to redo the pictures of the new bumper. Still fits a bit off, but I am too busy atm to fix it, when I am still looking for a local late model valence. so ehh

Also this came in the mail

Not sure if people on here are crazy about them, But imo i love the look. So who cares.

The pics were taken about 5 minutes after I applied the laminates. So the haziness will go away after a good hot Arizona day. I apologize for the dirty front end, it got sprayed with a hose by my gf :hitler:

                      Also in the mail atm;
                      Fuel Filter
                      New Spark Plugs
Shift boot from a member on here ( not sure when this will ever get here)
                      More maintenance stuff

Thanks man. Like I said earlier, I am going to school full time, so I don't have tons of time to work on this thing. I am by Brown and Power.

Came in the mail. My old spark plugs were so worn, but no deposits or anything which is definitely good. Thats an extra 10 HP right here. haha.
Need to get around to putting the new fuel filter. Starting to look for some good springs, so thats where I am at
