    My little sister's E30! (built by F34R)

Hello r3v my family =) I would like to start a thread about the story of my little sister's e30!

So she has been wanting a MINI cooper S for a good many months now. But over the time of me posting e30 content on her FB she came to the dark side!

So I was looking over CL today and found a 1987 325e coupe with 200k. It has two owners, second owner has had it for 23 years. I have a stack of paper work dating back to the first oil change etc.

So called the Lady and asked if she still had it. She did and I said I will take it =) Got the truck and directions then hit the road for 3hrs. Got there and inspected the little guy. Has a dent on the rear 1/4 drivers and needs to be smacked back out and smoothed. Paint is faded on the roof and has little dents from living next to a golf course. Over all it needs a new paint job.

Body shape, next to NO rust. needs a drivers fender replaced and pass rocker cut and welded in(2" hole). Over all that is IT, under side is next to mint. Still has the OEM under coating with the paint over spray.

    What it needs mechanical aspect:

    Clutch
Bent valves/rocker arm(sounds like rabbit mk1 xD) or whole engine
    New brakes maybe
Suspension needs more low(OEM is 100% great though)
Oil pan gasket/rear main? leaks oil.
    Paint job

    Plans updated:

    b25 motor swap
    Billstein sports& H&R race springs w/ e90 hats
Zimmermann rotors and new pads w/SS lines
    Proper era wheels(15-16")
Bumper tuck/valance update with iS lip.

Interior is MINT!!! and everything works on the car. But she wants to swap out the comfort seats to some matching cream perf sport seats.

WTB thread for this build, check it out and see if you have anything I need!:

Paid 650 for the car, needs a bunch of things done that are not major.

The question is, how much did you get it for?

Blah, didn't see you made two threads. Delete this one. $650 seems like a lot though for needing that much work/

She has a budget of 6k, that is MORE that enough to repaint and fix all the problems. Rust free car that only needs a fender and rear 1/4 smoothed out. Friend of ours will do the paint for around 1,300(including body work). He has 25+ years in paint and body work.

It is indeed blue indigoblu metallic or something like that. In the shade it is like a midnight blue and in the sun like a weird DARK blue/purple.

This is the only picture I am uploading of my Sister(I am in it).

$650 too much? should the old lady have paid him to take it?

I envy you, you have a kitchen big enough to accommodate the e30.
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Look at it like this; perfect place to do a b27i stroker conversion. I have NO idea why you guys think a rust free e30 is worthless?

The valves are really the only thing that seems bad. Replacing rear main seal on the lift is EASY, I will do the pan gasket too. Throw it on the lift and do the work that is needed. So instead of rebuilding the ETA head I am doing a b27i conversion. Also records show that the WPump was done in 09. So I would expect the timing belt done too.

My mk1 Rabbit was very quiet minus the exhaust. I don't get it?

Looks like a good buy. I wouldn't complain about it.
