Hi.
This is Matilda, my boyfriend and my 1991 318is. It was originally his sisters car but she ran it hot and cracked both the head and the block. We ended up buying the car from her to swap an M50 in it as our daily beater. We've both got project cars (he has an E34 M5 and I've got a 240sx) and we are both full time college students so driving project cars to college sucks and people LOVE to slam their doors into your car there.
This is what the car looked like when my boyfriends sister bought it.

And this is it now.

And this is our M50

Here's the motor after I cleaned up the plastic panels and I repainted the valve cover.

Yesterday, we pulled what was left of the block, trans, and driveshaft out of the car.

We just bought the engine mount arms this morning so we are waiting to get those in. So hopefully we will have the motor in by this up coming weekend. We still have to have a couple custom things made but it won't be too much longer.
We are also trying to build this whole car under $1k. We only spent $160 on the motor ;)
