I bought this car last Wednesday. It was owned by a spec e30 guy who already has a race car. He started building this for spec e30 but when the rules did not allow the m42's or eta engines anymore he stopped progress and started to daily it for a while.
The good:
Florida Car
Rust free except for one corner of lower valance
m42
light
4dr
poly bushings already installed
has the tightest shifter I have ever driven... must be all new bushings feels good though
The bad:
Cracked paint on the hood roof and the trunk lid
Dents and dings
Interior sucks
Lower rear valance rust
Day I bought it:

No rust

As much fun as it was driving over speed bumps at 40mph the 4wd stance had to go.

Day 2 realized I felt very weird driving stock e30...
So decided to lower dis bitch and threw the euroweaves on:

On the way to capitol raceway with knucklehead Devon...

I've never painted a car or done any major prep work so I decided this would be the perfect car to learn on. Plans are to keep it factory color
Sterlingsilber Metallic. Only spraying exterior. So far have hit all the major dents, Used wax and grease remover to get paint ready for sanding, pulled all trim and lights and bumpers had to pull the drivers fender to fix the one dent properly. Started with 220, then I'll work my way up to 320 then 400. I was gonna use a 2 part self etching primer but now I think an epoxy primer will be better and make a more uniform coating. Either way I'm having fun learning...
pics after 3 hours of stripping the car down and major dent dent repair...

Wish me luck I hope the paint comes out good...
