Winter Project lists - 2011/12

To do:

Sand/prime/paint rear valence.
Check for any rust on the undercarriage.
Upgrade brake lines, springs, and shocks.

Try out my ix in the snow for the first time!

to do
install all new brakes (rotors, pads, stainless steel brake likes)
install my crack free dash, working cluster, new shift boot, a radio, my new vinyl seat upholstery, wire up the heated seat pads, install m-tech 1 wheel, m-tech 1 front valance, wire up fog lights, install euro headlights, install new cap, rotor, spark plugs and wires, install new exhaust, install CAI and mud flaps.
then search for summer tires and rims.

Well, my car is mechanically to a point where I want it, for now. So, I think it's going to be all exterior and suspension stuff. I want my car aesthetically done before the picnic this year. One thing I'm really excited about is the paint on my car is getting some deep reconditioning. My brother-in-law works at a body shop. So, he's going to take it wet sand and polish it for me. Next winter the car is going under the knife again and the stroker and 5spd swap is happening. Right now, I'm just happy to have my car back on the road.

1988 325iX:

Install new transfer case
Rebuild shifter
Raceskids plate
Clean interior/install sport seats and tech1 wheel
Install crack free dash
Do timing belt/water pump and change all fluids
Find snow to thrash in

1989 325iX:

Complete 5 spd. swap including diff's
Short shifter
Raceskids plate
PDR
Replace bottle caps with iX weaves
T belt/water pump
Change all fluids
New shocks/struts/bushings
Tech 1 wheel
Sell

1990 325i:
Replace dented pass. front door
Buff paint back to red (it's pink now)
Install H&R/Bilstein suspension
Install powdercoated iX weaves with new tires
Race skids skid plate
Timing belt/water pump
Change fluids
Give to GF

1991 318i:

Completely strip drive train, interior, and suspension
Install GC coils
Race skids plate
Install complete tan interior, replacing nasty gray
Install crack free dash
Momo wheel
Assemble 3.0L M50 stroker using M54 internals
Complete 24v swap using fresh G260 and 3.42 LSD
Powdercoat Style 5's

1989 325ic:

Park in shop
Admire daily

I have a long ass way to go, but here we go.
• Get a plastic bumper swap
• Hopefully get an M50 swap
• Some sick ESM wheels I saw (don't know the model)
• Crack free dash
• Some good coilovers to go low real low!!
• New emblems, stereo, speakers
• An is lip
• Euro grills, blackened kidney, and smoked projector headlights
• And some bride seats, new carpet and headliner.
• That's all I can think of for right now, ohh! And straight pipe it :)
