Love it. Probably my ideal configuration for an E30 if I could have it. The color, the engine, the wheels, the stance. Perfect.

Sorry for the late update but just got back from Thailand and jet lagged like a mofo. So the swap is FINALLY done and runs smooth as butter. :)

I wanted to make sure I used the best parts available so here it goes. Every nut, bolt, and gasket was replaced that needed to be changed.

First off I wanted a better tranny so I bought a super clean ZF.

Decided to change the following: pilot bearing, throw out bearing, and put in the Sachs sport clutch.

BTW the newspaper method works great for the pilot bearing. ;)

Changed the lower timing chain cover and replaced the shaft seal with new pump. Coolant hose adapter is from Turner. Pretty nice part ..

jinoguy, love the super-sanitary install and anal-attention to detail with regards to parts selection/cleanliness. A few questions, where are you sourcing your motor/tranny? What about all the miscellaneous parts such as gaskets, bolts, etc.?

                              Thanks for ur words.
The motor came off a 97 4 door m3 which hit a fence and A pillars were damaged. There was no damage in the front and a video was taken before the motor came out. Did a leakdown and all came at 5-8%

                              Tranny came of a 97 m3 cabrio

I found both on craigslist after searching on a daily basis lol..

Most of my parts came from the dealer or a bmw shop. If you need info on the shop pm me. ;)
