Alpina B6 3.5 Turbo Tribute

I have two real AC Schnitzer mono wipers an one Hartge mono wiper. I decided to put one on my Alpina clone. The Alpina clone will have copy AC schnitzer copy. I have friend that made a copy for him self. He said he would make me one. One of the mono wipers is going into my Hargte H35 24 clone. Here is some pics.





This is going to be a bitch. Like my friend Frank tells me their is a lot love in the car.

It looks like your having fun buddy. The mono wiper will be much easier to install. As far as dealing with the M88, Frank is right, you do gotta have a lot of love.

Here some pics of the AC Schnitzer mono my m3. I hope I will be dun next week. I broke some blower parts. I was luck my friend Jim & Brain had some part laying around. Next is the Alpina clone. It should be easy because the m30 is out.

I pick up my parts today from my friends. Maybe I can finish Installing my AC Schnitzer mono wiper. I bought a AC Schnitzer 360 steering wheel for my red e30 m3.

For now I'm stop working on my m3. Back to the main project. I started to take apart the motor. I ran out day light. I not going to use this head. I am having Myster -e Performance ( Shant ) do the head porting, IE rocker arms, dual valve springs an a custom cam.

I pulled the oil pan off today. It had old oil an oil pump had caked oil on it. I need to bower a impact tool pull the crank nut off. The head on this engine is fresh. I need to order a new oil pump, bearings an gaskits seals.

Here are some pics. My buddy lent tool to take off the crank nut. The top of block looked okay. The head okay. The head casket does not like original. I have original Alpina B6 3.5s motor mounts I bought in 1996. The Alpina air dam was sent to the painters today. My front plastic bumper was cracked. I found a other one an had it painted.

Today I received a package from Germany. 1986 an before Alpina B6 2.8 an B6 3.5 an Hartge H35 had to make their own tranny mount . Because the the e30 m3 tranny mount was not available until 1986. I am still looking for a Hartge trans mount. Here are some pics next to a e30 m3 tranny mount. I will not uses it because it will break. I'm going use the e30 m3 tranny mount.

Well I pulled pistons & rods out of block. Tomorrow will take pics on piston 5 it did not look so good.
I collect tuner part like Hartge, Alpina & AC Schnitzer. I picked up a AC Schnitzer wood steering wood an a KSK Alpina catalog.

My buddy Frank is mechanic for 35 years came over today to check out the motor. Well told me I need new pistons. My choices are new BMW pistons or custom. Here are pics of damaged pistons.
