My new M3 standing strong next to the "Sunk Cost" wreck...

I've been thinking about keeping it and turning into a track bitch, tube-framing the front end like this: http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showthr...94#post1273794Leave a comment:

I want the shell when you take out what you want/need. Want it with body panels, bumpers, etc.Leave a comment:

It is a difficult car to value. I think my estimate is spot on and there settlement offer fair.
The buyback amount (so-called salvage value) was $1300 or 18 some odd % of the cash value prior to the crash.
Getting the car back tomorrow.Leave a comment:

Does suck indeed, but like you said its a car that isn't an actual M so you didn't take another one out.
Still sucks
If you part out I would be interested in the c-pillar / rear windshield

Rats - sorry for your loss. Good work with the insurance company! I'm sure if you tried really, really hard, you might be able to squeeze another dime out of them, but sometimes a fair offer is worth accepting and moving on. Nothing wrong with that. Especially if you have many irons in the fire. It's not worth the time. So I say....Good on you.
Can I ask what kind of documents you sent to them?Leave a comment:
