I've done 3 sunroofs now all using the above method. The hardest part is locating the spot welds. Once they are located just take your time and don't rush it, it's a process.

And thanks again for the link about the sunroof cassette. I have 14 of the 17 spotwelds drilled out (the spotweld cutter drill bit from Harbor Freight broke before I could get the last 3) and the 4 brackets have been cut.
