Well, these 3 things were just ordered, so you know what that means :)

What does it mean you ask? I'm being an idiot and putting old technology onto a new engine, in an effort to learn/ make an awesome engine.

        You're being hard on yourself.

There is nothing wrong with a carburetor setup, a good one can outperform fuel injection.

I'm hoping so :D I don't really have a reason, just always wanted to own a vehicle with carbs.

I'm dealing with a VIN lean right now. I was going to have it running/ on the street by friday, but now I have to deal with this crap so I'm just taking my time and not rushing/ cutting corners. I'm trying though :D I'm getting the carb setup early next week, so running ~2 weeks from now :)

Why not just admit you can't figure out the wiring?

I can. Its honestly not that hard, I had it all labelled and laid out. But no body close to me has the wiring harness, working maf and the computer for a decent price. The harness I bought is incorrect, and I'm sick of trying to contact the guy who was going to sell me all of the harness and things I needed. Its honestly soldering maybe 5 wires together.

                        That's right, I was.

Having recently completed a carburetor shootout between street and race carbs on our Dart small block 440cid “Test Mule” engine, we decided to do a carburetor to EFI upgrade to take a closer look at the differences between the two systems.

Sure, fuel injection is more reliable, better in cold weather, and smoother.

BUT, a Carb can produce the same/more power if done right.

Guys, I'm not, and never did say that a carb was better for performance. Its what I'm going with, and its not really an arguable issue.
