Think about what would happen if the car caught fire, was stolen, or crashed as you consider the bolded part of your original post and decide how you want to continue. It is not a problem to devote a lot of time and money into a car so long as it doesn't interfere with other life priorities and goals and you are willing to take the risk of completely losing everything invested in a split second (as an alternative you can learn to enjoy what you have and avoid the temptation of having the best, fastest, and the coolest and save money in doing so)

That said, I am an N/A guy and the only things that come to mind engine-wise when thinking of a swapped E30 are:

M20 Stroker with nice headwork and proper tune

        alum. M52 from a Z3 with mods

        Euro S50 or S54 (real ITB'd ///M engines)

Building up a 24v the N/A will provide more return on investment than an M20, but there are good reasons to keep an M20 too and if going absurdly fast is your goal you will probably be looking into turbos anyways.

Check out "grudgerider156" on youtube, he is local to you and may be a good one to talk to.

No. He is telling you to refrain from pissing in jars and forgetting to feed your family while you are wasting away in the garage trying to make a 25 year old car into a brand new one. That's all.

Shut it, I did just that above^ but no family lol.

Honestly OP this will cost you a ton if you want to do a total rebuild. But in the long run it is less than a new shitty Jap car. I don't regret building mine over the past two years or so. See link below for my build, it is a bit more than basic a build.

Let the haters hate and welcome! Most of the haters on here are children that got their e30s for free-1,500 and shutter at putting 9k+ into them lol.

I've noticed that most people in Utah have a "unique" sense of humor. Unless you tell them that you are going to tell them a joke, they assume you are 4 srs.
