    1984 325e S52 swap...

    BMW parts/servicing list:
    project 1984 BMW 325e.

    3.3 L S50/S52 engine swap
    Getrag 250 trans
    2.79 LSD rear/fresh fluid/additive

It's still a work in progress but the end result was turn key started right up. Compared to the way Vw or Audi does things, BMW makes it much easier!

Block was magnafluxed and cleaned down to bare. needed pistons because 4 of them measured small. Also resurfaced top of block and bored out pitting in cylinder walls. So as of now it's a 3.3 liter S52. The cylinder head (S50) used was one that had professional flow bench tuning/port/polish job and had been cleaned and minimally resurfaced. The valves and seals are new also.

Yeah me and trying to post up pictures didn't really work.

Well from how it looked in the picture of it in the shop, I have drilled and smushed in the front and rear bumpers, fixed the oil press gauge wiring, installed my momo hub and momo corse wheel, and going to install a 318i firewall harness cover.

Thank you to Ryan for posting up the pics of the build, also it would not have been possible to build the car without Ryan. Thanks for help and technical support!

Will try to get some recent pictures up, installed a air/fuel ratio gauge, replaced the fuel sending unit, and got the firewall cover mounted.

              Thanks to all who posted!!!

So that's how she sits now, can't wait until I get a 3.25 LSD diff, the current setup has so much gear to pull through. I think it will feel much faster with less gearing to go through.

Plans are to weld up or get some race seats and probably some type of cage eventually. Also install poly bushings in the rear.

Yeah I may go this Saturday and do 3 pulls. Will be looking forward to seeing the results. When I get the dyno sheet, I can send them into trm tuning and they will review the graphs, make corrections and send me an Updated EEPROM. It should be in at least the 260 whp range I hope. So we will see...
