1991 BMW 318i, 5 speed= My first turbo charging project

I traded a 1999 Honda Civic for my first BMW, the pictured E30. I chose it to be my first turbo project ever, after driving it for a couple months. I love the 5 speed, 4:10 gears, and the way it handles N/A---which lead me to a dream.

making the stainless steel down pipe

putting 1 inch extensions for clearance on the stainless turbo header I bought.

    Some turbo stuff:

If lime was what you meant... sorry but I edited and appreciate your post either way. Everyone who views this, please forgive me for faulted purchases or statements. This is my first turbo project, I have already learned so many important factors needed for success. I am eager to keep learning and complete this project, but unsure when...

Going balls out with the boost, and fabricating things yourself. I lime this a lot.

As far as high boost, I have learned the compression ratio will need to be changed for that to happen... I am currently looking to build or buy a different engine. If anything, I will use the stock M42b18 and boost low for the time being.

I hope I will get to, I'm watching your tuning thread...considering the W.A.R. chip vs MegaSquirt .... still up in the air though. I see your still having 1st gear AFR issues. Hope you nail it, and I appreciate your screen shots alot! Thanks!

Having big-time second thoughts at this time.... Both m42b18 engines and car with all stock parts for sale--$1200. Clean title in hand.
