89 325i from Puerto Rico (Guys a bit of help?)

Well as the title states, I'm a e30 driver and lover. I kind of started with this car about 2 years ago, bought it for $1,200 with a couple of problems, one of them which was the most obvious one, was the state of the paint and rust problems, the other one was battery problems. The battery problem was solved but the paint problem hasn't been fixed due to the fact that its kind of expensive and I'm a student with no job at the time.

As she sat 7-8 months ago

The car's name is Sherley. (I blame my best friend for it, he's a Leslie Nielsen fan.) Anywho, she's going to get some upgrades soon, and I'll start updating as the parts arrive.

as she sat 1-2 weeks ago

She keeps having cooling problems, the water pump has been changed, the radiator has been flushed countless times, the resivoir has been cleaned, the thermostat has been changed, the housing has been cleaned, and she keeps overheating, and it worries me that it might affect the M20's performance and kill it completely. I'm currently going to get a new fan clutch just in case its the problem. Another problem she's having is electric, when she is at a light, I can turn on the air conditioning, fan, or lower the windows, but when she goes at 45-60mph I can't do any of these, you can also hear a little ticking inside the car under the dash.

Other than that, its my girl and my daily driver, I wouldn't trade her at all, she just needs love & bodywork+paint, a manual gear box, a 3.73lsd diff, a full suspension work + brakes upgrades, wheels, performance upgrades and new interior.

    Updates coming soon as possible.

      Another update:

The car is still having problems with the cooling system and the ticking inside the car that is making me crazy, I drove it to college and the inboard temp reading was going crazy, and the engine was cold, then the engine was warm, and the temp gauge was dead.

Im thinking of the future, I have an 325e thats runing, but the body is shit, i may use the 325i engine, swap it to the 325e make a hybrid engine 2.7i, and for the 325i, get a manual transmission swap and then swap in a M50b25, M50b28 or an s50b30. I think i ought to start saving up for the swap.

This is going to get crazy

                        Update:

Today the front lip/valance clips arrived. they came all the way from Lativa, I think that was some quick shipping. All clips are accounted for, they sent me more than usual, so now I have spares and they are OEM. Got them for 8$.

I havent been able to be on and update due to college.

-I have gotten into contact with a junkyard of bmw's and the owner says he has a couple of m50's lying around. I have to check it out on springbreak which is a week from today.

-I also found a complete manual gearbox kit for 300$ only thing missing is the supports for the manual gearbox, the metal brace, flywheel and clutch kit.

-And last but not least, I'm talking with a friend of mine to see if he is able to paint my e30, all I have to find is the bumpers, paint, and trims.

                              Update:
-I really need some help. My car keeps turning off the air conditioning, blower, and the function to raise or lower the power windows. I'm looking for the problem and its electrical for what I can figure. when it turns off all the mentioned electric components I hear a really fast ticking/clicking. I need someone who has had this type of problem and resolved it. And I kind of need it working up to day so I may be able to send it to paint.

                              Anyways back to the updates.

                              - Exhaust arrives in 1 week due to shipping problems
-Foglights and Euro plate tub arrive next week
-Suspension parts were "lost in transit" and got a refund. Buying new locally, kind of "cheaper".
