Now onto the next issue. My dad and I rent a garage to work on our project cars, and unfortunately at the end of April we lost the garage we had been renting for the past year. Which means we had to find a new space to continue our builds. We did, and we packed up the cars along with all of our parts and tools and moved them to our new space.
There is something you don't see everyday!

Carefully bringing them up the driveway.

And safely resting in their new home.

Okay, this thread is in desperate need of an update. So here it goes, to start lets go all the way back to late April. Due to the issues I was having at the time I didn't take alot of pictures. So engine went in at the end of April, here is the only picture I have of that. I had to stand on the tranny to get enough angle on the engine to clear the core support.

After I put the engine and tranny in and installed the shifter I found that my ZF tranny had the dreaded 5th gear lean. I felt so stupid for not checking before installing the engine and tranny. Oh well, the tranny had to come back out to replace the shift pins. Here is a great link detailing the shift pin service http://webspace.ringling.edu/~dplass...hift_pins.html. I would also like to give a HUGE thanks to Jeff from my local BMW forum for machining the drifts. They worked beautifully and the job would have been impossible without them. The top shift pins were super easy.
Old shift pins out, and new sleeves installed.

New shift pins and springs installed.

    New caps on.

The 5th gear and reverse shift pins were a TOTAL pain in the ass! I was actually so frustrated doing them I didn't take a single picture, but they did get done.

It probably won't be an issue, that said I will remove the coating there just to be safe. Bit of a misunderstaning between me and the guy who does my powdercoat. He thought the O-ring sealed inside the hole so thats what he masked.

Got some goodies in the mail, Miller turbo tuning package with WAR chip.

Also went and picked up some stuff from the powdercoater.

My oil pan with VAC baffle and -10 fitting welded in for turbo oil drain. Coated in wrinkle black.

Turner motorsport underdrive pulleys, done in 2 stage candy red to match my other parts.

Here is one of those times I was talking about where I could use some advice. Here is what I did for my turbo oil drain.

Now here is my concern, I put a VAC baffle in my e34 pan and as you can see in the second picture the oil drain is right above the baffle. I am worried about oil draining onto the baffle and just sitting on top of it, Should I even be worried about this? Should I notch out the corner of the baffle where the drain is?

I've also been considering the bedliner thing for my engine bay. What brand did you use?
I honestly can't remember. I am pretty sure you can look it up on his automated site. Just use a '96 or '97 1.9l Z3. Its a maval rebuild.

The bedliner was called hippo liner. The tintable stuff come in a kit, can't remember the exact name of it.

They are plugged into MSD coil packs. It is the wasted spark ignition setup from a '90's GM V6.
