                  Just an idea. The driveshaft you are trying to find can be a challenge.
                  Just throwing this idea out there
                  Consider removing your output flange on the new trans and resuing the smaller output flange so you can use the stock driveshaft. I think the spline has enough room to accommodate a little longer trans.

                    Here's my trans brace I decided to come up with. I used some brainstorming and the 3 sets of mounts I had

                    Drilled one hole
                    I used one stock e30 manual trans mount
                    One automatic trans mount with a little notch grinded
                    And a thick large washer
                    zF trans for the win

                              So i know it has been quite a while since i updated my thread. I Decided I'm Doing a m52 OBD1 swap and I've mad some progress,
                              replaced so far, cam shaft sensor oring and sensor,
                              oil filter housing Oring
                              new valve cover gasket,
                              new Water pump,
                              New idlers bearing pulleys,
                              cleaned the engine inside and out.
                              ordered vac motorsports coolant pipe for the timing cover
                              obd1 m50 harness automatic , still needs trimming need advice

                              e36 motor mount arms
                              e34 oil pan, dipstick and sump , all accuired

                              the alternator bearings are extremely noisy anyone have a good write up on how to service them
                              also do you know if you can run a m52 alternator on m50 harness ?
                              fuel injectors were cleaned and new orings were installed on both sides, carefully slid over the pintle tips

                              dry fitted the intake for looks
                              shaved fins
                              this is the only sealant i like to use


                              transmission sitting lonely awaiting its new home

                                Your alternator depends on what was set up for the harness. The M52 alternator I doubt would work on a M50 harness but it really depends on the amperage of what it was set up for. Plus, what would you run for a battery?
