TAKING THE PROJECT SECTION OVER 1 2002 AT A TIME!!! (love seeing 3 2002 projects on the first page at one time!)

Well, got a few things in, new fuel pump, new battery, and some matching paint for the door. Throwing them all in this weekend!

Well, decided that taking the door down to make sure there is no rust underneath, and to see how bad teh damage was. Strangely its worse than i though it was (the damage) but better than i thought it would be (rust wise). Everything there is just surface rust, so a good sanding, and coat of primer should solve that. Going to be taking this down a little farther to just to make sure. Then its fix it and spray it back up. (hopefully the paint matches decently.

      old setup.

      old vs. new.

well new fuel pump is in! works great! Now other issues...lol

having issues with the injection system now. Having leaking issues at the pump. The middle allen adjuster is leaking fuel. also, realize that its leaking, however even with it leaking should i at least be able to get this engine to cough, and want to run?

ideas/suggestions anyone? Definitely not sure where to go from here?

          yes.

I work at volkswagen, i know how shitty mechanical injection can be. Atleast this setup is slightly easier to work on it seems than the VW injection setup from the 70's
