Just make them light-ish in weight. I currently have a roof rack but I like buying things I don't need so you can bet I'll buy one from you.Leave a comment:

Sorry dudes, no progress on the '02 unfortunately. Been too busy trying to grow my shop and tool selection, every extra cent I have left over after paying monthly expenses goes straight into the shop. This project will sadly have to sit on the back burner while I try to make a living for myself. I think it'll pay off, and I'll eventually be able to finish it to my original plans.
Here's something '02 related though that I've been doing. I designed these wall pieces and had them CNC plasma cut out of 1/8" steel. My first run consisted of 12 pieces and I sold out of them within a day, so that was really cool. I have an E30 already designed and ready to cut as well, so I will be doing another run of these within the next few weeks here:

I plan on having my own CNC plasma cutting system within the next year, so that's my main focus right now.
Also, I'm in the works of finalizing my custom roof rack design, which will be specific to E30's and 2002's, so keep an eye out for that within the next few months...Leave a comment:

Haha unfortunately I have no updates, as usual. BUT, I am making big efforts to raise money as my shop is my livelihood now, and as amazing as it's been, I have been having a rough year. I just posted a thread yesterday regarding some new products that I've been developing, and I'll repost it in here because among many other things that I'd like to accomplish, I REALLY want to finish my BMW.
Here is what the thread said:
So I am in the process of creating a line of custom table legs/bases that are perfect for dining tables, desks, conference tables, coffee tables, etc. They are designed to bolt up to any table top, whether it be a nice large slab of wood that you've been saving or a custom top that you designed and crafted yourself.
I'm totally captivated by the feeling I get when I see my ideas and efforts evolve from a concept to a physical, finished product. There's a different sense of pride that comes with building something with your own hands, rather than buying it at a store. These table legs are essentially my way of trying to pass that feeling on, because I don't think people get to experience that enough. You're basically buying an unfinished project that requires your own efforts to complete. Let's build a table together.
At the moment I have 4 styles available, which can be custom built to any dimension to suit your needs. Available in any powder coated color or textured finish or just raw uncoated steel if you want to take care of that.
If you are interested in purchasing, you can visit my store for pricing and custom order inquiries: www.etsy.com/shop/MikeyGaumann
Any support would be hugely appreciated and would totally help me make some much needed progress on my BMW 2002 build (link to thread in my signature) that basically hasn't been touched since I acquired my shop space over a year ago. Dying to finish that thing!
Here are some photos showing the different styles. Any comments are appreciated:
