I was using a putty knife for the sound deadening. I picked up a wire wheel for the grinder and I'm going to try that out when I stop being lazy about the floor pan.

Almost a year later, and I'm bringing this thread back from the dead.

Here's what has been up the past few weeks:

          Got the block powdercoated:

And changed the plans for the engine... Again...

This came from Germany last week:

          That is all for now.

2mAn Unfortunately no. It needed too much time and I was just starting the career back then. I eventually sold the rolling shell. Pretty sure I still have all the M42 parts.
Funny story, I was perusing the local BMW facebook group a few years later and saw a red E21 up for grabs, free to the first person with a trailer. Turns out it was the same car, and it was almost in the same condition, maybe some of the rust was repaired. I was tempted to go get it back, but I didn't have the space for another project at the time. No idea where it ended up next.

The daily is either the E46 or the Silverado.
The works in (lack of) progress are 2x E30s, a Land Cruiser, and a Chevelle. I refuse to give up on any of them since it'll be unlikely I could afford them in the future, hahaha. Car parts are a helluva drug.

Are you guilt tripping me into doing some car cleaning for a photo? It's almost working.
