So semester one finally finished, which means more time and more money to be spent on the e30 :D

The biggest update was the selling of my BBS RS003's. i got sick of them tbh. I know how wonderful and rare these wheels are, and BBS and BMW will always be the ultimate combination, but i wanted something different so they had to go. Sold them to a nice guy with a Mk2 GTI, they fitted so well to his car as well.

Polished and cleaned before the guy came to pick them up. So pretty, will be missed some day no doubt.

The result :giggle: (there was more but i bought a guitar pedal right after)

        Back to the build
To get the ball rolling i tackled one thing thats been pissing me off for ages, the intermittently one channel Aux jack. To replace it i got a 3.5mm female connector that i mounted to the centre console so i can plug in an aux cable when i needed.

Chopped the 3.5mm male connector off, striped the wires back and tested out which wires connected to what poles on the back of the jack gave me stereo (as well as funky bass line)

Drilled a small hole for the thread of the jack to fit through

Made the rear bigger so i could fit the back of it in flush

Tightened it up and filled the gap around the back with 2part epoxy so the thing part of remaining foam didn't blow out when i pulled the cable out the jack later

Wired that bitch up (terrible soldering i know). The other end of the cable connected to the head unit has a connector so if i ever need to remove it entirely i can.

Finished product. neat, stealthy and 2 channels!!

Then i got bored and stuck the cali plate i bought on ebay on the front

And a quick pic with my other ride

Im currently deciding what wheels to put on it, looking at 3SDM 0.05's depending on shipping etc. They've just been released in 16x8 and 16x9 with 4x100 so they will be perfect fitment. But still not 100% on that. The mtech kit is going to get sanded down, and a tin of Alpine white is on standby for a fresh coat of paint. Also, i am preparing to tear into the spare 2.7 block i have and spend a large amount of money with Pelican Parts so i can get this bad boy manual swapped. Hopefully there will be a heap more updates in the next few weeks so stay tuned!

          Nice car, dude.

I just had to pop in and say it's ironic that you bought a California plate to put on the front of your car when half the guys out here are risking citations just to leave em off, haha.

Quick update, this came from Japan this morning:

Nardi Gara 265/60. Ive always wanted a nardi, and at the price i got this for i am so stoked:D. Just got to order the boss now.

I also took abit of a risk and bought some very nice wheels from Germany last night. Pics when they arrive.

So after a week on holiday using my e30 as a kangaroo battering ram:x (new windscreen and a few dents) i came home to a whole bunch of new parts, including my new Rial Wheels. Pelican order consisted of many m20 rebuild parts and a hub for my Nardi wheel.

And ofcourse i had to test fit them8-)

Sadly the fronts are gonna need a spacer to clear the calliper carrier:( Im gonna borrow some from a friend to see if they fix the issue and them get the tires mounted.

You must be the guy that I was busting about his iPod classic on the r3v FB page? Nice wheels man! and LOL@ the Cali plate. No one is happy, USA wants euro plates and everyone else wants USA plates. Do not get it at all...

Nice car, love the mesh goodness in here.
