    Geno's '91 Brilliantrot 318is

Hello R3V, I'm gonna start my build thread with a little Bio about my beloved 1991 Brillantrot 318is "slick-top" or should I say slick-top was, Me and the car have been together for more then 2 years now, I've been meaning to make a project thread but every time I'd look at Simon S's or any other hard core guys on here, Id just say to my self "I'm not half as detailed as them". On to the sexy little beast that sits in my garage, when I bought my car the PO really screwed things up with homo "mods" and wracked it. the car was in need of major loving.

I should probably re-mention that this is "Keep it Simple Project." my goal has always been to achieve a original clean look, don't get mad..

getting ready for the e30 picnic, changed differential & fluid today from s4.10 to s3.73, so far I like it it’s about 200rpms lower on the freeway, will see how I do on miles. Then met with Matt B, tomorrow whole lot of touch up paint, & most likely re paint all the black exterior trim.

paint looks great, original? Also, going from a small case to medium case diff, based on the pictures it looks like the driveshaft would get streched to fit, how did that works out for you? I'm planning to change out my small case open 4.10 for a 2.93 LSD for ultimate mpgs:)

Thank you, the paint is all respray unfortunately, From small case to medium case the drive shaft moved in maybe a quarter inch, and plenty of room to slide the studs into the diff, the only hard part of the swap was lining up the four top bolts, took an extra hour for me by my self. having to climb a latter, reach in the car to put and take the car out of gear was a little time consuming also, if you have an extra pair of hands the whole thing could be done in less the two hours guaranteed :) *let me know how the s2.93 treats you

                    Mad props Geno!
                    Looking good.
Jelly of the moon roof.. and your stance with the front hats appears bang on.
Keeping it simple is the way to go.

                    Cheers.
