mbonanni's Early Lachssilber Four Door Project

*If You Do Not Want To Read Just Skip Down To Pictures*

I was first introduced to e30's about five years ago. My best friends mom owned a four door 325. At the time I thought the car was merely a piece of shit, which it was, but nevertheless it was the first one I sat in. She later got rid of the car because it had continuous problems. The next time I was introduced was when Danny began to get them. He has had many of them over the years, but I never really noticed them until his Calypso. As I got close and closer to the day I got my license I wanted an e30 more and more. I went through a Land Rover, Dodge Dakota, Geo Tracker, and GMC Sonoma before I got my first e30.

I got my first e30 late last year. It is a Schwarz 1986 325es with immaculate black interior. The car has never left me stranded or seized to impress me, but it was always missing something. Two more doors. Here are a few pictures

Some of you may know I have been looking for a four door for awhile, and I recently just purchase a 1987 Lachssilber 325. The Car has a little over 170,000 miles on it. I believe it has been sitting for the past year or two due to the timing belt breaking. The car has all black vinyl interior with only one small section that is cracked in the rear seat. It has Zender rear heckspoiler, and Zender side Skirts. The exterior is a little bit shabby around the edges, but straight nonetheless. I never took or showed off my es very much, and that is the opposite I want to do with this car. I hope to keep a lot of pictures as it progress, and here are some. Please let me know if pictures are too big.

    The day I got it.

The following day I got the car I started to clean out the interior. My puppy Lady kept me company.

These are some things I found while going through it

Sorry for pics with bad lighting

Well with my camera broken, and my lack of phone picture uploading skills, I have not gotten much pictures. I did just snap a few however with the broken camera (screen is broken), and sorry for the off angles.

Parts I have bee collecting for the motor

Clean engine bay (bad angle, sorry)

Clean head, intake manifold, which I am cleaning.

And a blurry one of the garage as of now.

Are you gonna do anything about the DB's? Tuck, plastics, polish, powder coat? This car's not nearly as bad as you described it lol. I only see like 4 dents in the little pics.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Both cars are looking good. I love the skirts on the 4door

Thanks. My brother will be getting the es, but we are going to share the two I think.

I think the heckspoiler and skirts is what sold me on the car. They are pretty rare I think. I think.

Polishing the tops (at least a bit) will be super easy. I'll even do it for you if you bring them over. And yeah the pics are kinda small imo. How many dings/dents can you see on the car?

Who else thinks the pics are small? I feel they are appropriate size.

They could be a little bigger.

Makes me miss my Lachs. Nice little collection of paperwork. I have a binder full of service records and every bit of paper that came with the car new.

Time to make them bigger. I don't have photobucket so it take a long time.

                            lol

                              Get some engine shots up!
Honestly, I'm digging the 2door "es" more, but you can't beat those skirts! Get the front valence too :-D
