Ahh fuck. Just looked at my pan...scraped but doesn't look cracked. And the engine started to leak a bit of oil, although it doesn't seem like they're related. Fuck today.

Haha...guess I'm just used to the hate ;). But yes, they go higher up the door and lower to the ground i believe, which doesn't really help anything (more scraping, higher parts prices..). They should have just had a factory X-brace.

Geez, you just assume everyone is attacking you, don't you?

My point was merely to emphasize how low vert rockers are.

Haha, scraping a rubberized undercoating is hardly frame damaged. And if you saw the pic of the accident you'd have no reservations in buying the car, even with a salvaged title.

But dammit...today wasn't so good. I scraped a ton (due to my own stupidity and misjudgment), had to go over a speed bump for the first time (imagine 5 different things scraping one after the other), bent a bit of the muffler clamp, the exhaust now makes a weird noise from somewhere...ugh. And that rattle in the left rear which I'm not sure if I've mentioned yet got worse. Gonna take a look at it all tomorrow...

Ugh I'm having a hard time finding bolts for a reasonable price. All I need are 5 extended lugs.

looks like youre on the borderline to having some reverse rake there. thats some serious tucking you have going on in the rear too. but i can definitely see the difference in fender height between the early and the late models now. I cant see the very top of my tire the way mine is sitting and i cant put my finger between my front fender without it getting caught.
but its looking good man! im gonna wait and see when you rip off that front lip ;)
when are you going to get those spacers on?

Jeebus man, didn't realize they were THAT low. My oil pan is the same hight, and I never came close to the rockers

Tell me about it...oil pan is 2" off the ground and is safe. Rockers...not so much...

Trust me, I understand the difficulties of slamming with m42's ;) And on top of that you have vert rockers to deal with.

It's the tire size and the fenders. To have the frame rail parallel to the ground, it needs to have like 2-3" of 'rake' on the rear fender. The tire size also makes a difference. If I had 17's with 215/40/17 (not sure if that's actually a tire size, but whatever) it would look massively lower because i'd be tucking tire in the front, and almost half an inch of rim in the back.
