My pan is 2" off the ground haha. The m42 pan hangs lower than an m20, but it has a two piece pan so it's like a 10 min job to replace (so long as the upper pan doesn't get messed up). I haven't gone over any speed bumps, but my ground clearance is great for everything else. I don't scrape (often) on my driveway, and I can get into many other parking lots without too much off an issue, other than people wondering wtf I'm doing. I think my rear settled a little bit now though, because I scrape those exhaust clamps if I turn too hard to the right.
This is my pan clearance on my driveway:
I would have stuck my finger under there to get a scale, but I couldn't fit my hand under the lip.

well then i will probably look into them soon!
as for my oil pan clearence, its surprisingly good. I have an m20 so the oil pan dosent sit low like the other engines do. I feel there are other parts that will scrub before i hit the oil pan. But that dosent mean i wont buy an extra pan just in case ;)
what about yours?Leave a comment:

I'm not sure how to define 'bouncy'. If it's 'soft', then no the megans aren't really bouncy. If its 'stiff enough to bounce your ass off the seat' then yes, they're kinda bouncy at times ;). I like it though, i think it feels pretty sporty. How's your oil pan clearance right now?Leave a comment:

That is a possibility for the rear. I have plenty of ground clearence, but im already running no pads or adjusters in the rear. thats bottemed out. and even if i wanted to go lower, the setup isnt stiff enough to handle it.
Im still planning on lowering the front some more. Ive still got about 6 or 7 threads left, so ill probably come down about 3 or 4 depending on how adventurous i feel when i get around to doing it. plus i dont have a late model lip like everyone else, no worrying about ripping one off!
how have you liked the megan springs? i might just do the same since the rear is currently a bit bouncy for me.
also, we could always discuss a wheel trade later on down the line :D
Im also jelly of your hard top piece. I used to have one, but it bokedid :(Leave a comment:

Front is stock JOM's all the way down. Rear are JOM shocks (i think KYB gas-a-just) with 8kg/130mm megan springs with no spring pads. The rear feels nice and stiff/tight, and the front doesn't seem to be as nice, but that may just be a placebo. I love the ride.
@marco: thanks!
@spike, your's may actually be lower than mine because of your higher rear arches. Your front fender looks slightly lower but you probably have bigger tires. and I'm super jealous of your wheels.Leave a comment:

Actually looks pretty decent
I am considering JOM's because I am on a tight budget.Leave a comment:

I just feel like it would look bad in the grill, idk why. I mean the M3 grill badges look nice, but I can't really see a roundel on the grill looking good.Leave a comment:

You're right, I wouldn't F+++ the whole paint just for the roundel, but I sure as hell would put one in the grille like the bmwcca badge....although I like the custom e30 badge.. it will soothe the baby jesusLeave a comment:

They're actually color matched fog deletes. But here's the thing, even if I wanted a hood or trunk roundel, it'd cost too much to do it for it to be worth it. I'd have to basically get and paint a whole new hood or trunk for it.
I am making an e30 badge for it though...out of 320i and 280e badges. No real clue as to when I'll actually be done with that though lol.Leave a comment:
