Thanks. I got a little lazy today and offered myself a little day off.

So far I'm waiting for a 5speed swap that I just purchased last Thursday from a R3V member. So hopefully I'll get it soon. But I definitly need couple of other parts. I will contact you tomorrow and hopefully you'll have something that can help me progress a little.

Also Just want to thank all you guys for the support and kind words.
I'm on a tight budget and it can be a little difficult gathering all the parts to complete the project.

            Not many updates.
Just a couple of pictures of what I did during the week

Shadowlines, wiper arms door handles before

            After

Painted the valve cover as well

Also noticed that the trunk insulation was coming apart and was heavy as $#!t so decided to remove it.

Yeah yesterday I finally got my package to discover that only half of the parts arrived and of course a transmission in pieces was in the bottom of the box.
UPS was kind enough to man handle that poor box.
So now the seller and I are trying to fix that UPS situation.

              Enjoy

On the left the box I was suppose to receive and the right the box that brought my nightmare

So yep my project is gone have to wait a little more.
Just want to thank the seller for helping me as much as he can.

              Thank you Injected97GT

I was bored this morning so since I'm waiting for UPS to fix my transmission issue, I figured I could keep myself busy taking some stuff apart.

The guy that made that exaust was thinking one thing and one thing only.

                      Thanks guys.

So while still waiting for UPS to fix their f*!k up, since I'm currently without trans, parts and money, I decided to keep myself busy to just try to forget about this disaster.

Separated the autotragic from the M20

Getting that old heart ready to take a nice bath

The autotragic waiting there for a new owner. Gone have to clean it and put it up for sell.
Hopefully I will soon no longer need it.

Got a little lazy yesterday so haven't really took time to update the tread.
Here is what I did over the weekend.

I started to put the interior back together.
Made a home made seal for the heater box since BMW seals are $35.00 a piece.

                        Before

                        After

I know, I know cheap from my part and not really esthetic but F it, it should work.
I will let you guys know if I have to take the dashboard back out lol.

Sorry no other pictures of the interior yet with the black carpets.

I also cleaned the engine bay. I was trying to get all of the stupidity of the previous owner off.
That's what it looked like before.

And this is after 10 washes at least lol

Not really happy with the results
Since I don't have a compressor yet ( on my Christmas list ), it looks like I'm gone have to play with some more spray cans.

Not really happy with the rad support but I am gone have to deal with it for right now. It's gone be a DD anyway.

In between washing cycle, kept myself busy taking the M20 apart.

Waiting for all the seals and gaskets to come in since I'm still waiting for my trans issue to get fixed.

Head almost naked. Need to go buy some tools.
Filler gauges to adjust the valves.
Puller to take the timing belt sprocket of the crankshaft.
                        And a valve spring compressor.

Sorry for some of the blurry shots.
I've been so tired lately I didn't know if my eyes were blurry or if my Iphone was out of focus.

                        That's it for right now

Glad to see my old 4 door getting a tratment and being brought back to life.

btw most of the mods werent done by me like for example the straight pipes.

                              Damn headache

Sorry but I haven't got a chance to do much.
It's been now over a month that I am waiting for this 5 speed issue to get solved.
I bought July 25 a 5 speed swap from a R3V member it arrived at my house damage and half missing on August 9 as you can see on previous post.
Per UPS, damage item ( trans only ) was returned for inspection which left me with only 1/3 of a 5 speed swap since half of the parts I was suppose to receive.
So UPS denied the complain saying that the damage was caused by an improper packed item. UPS decided then to return the trans to the seller.
So as of August 15 the seller has now my money for the complete swap and the trans I was suppose to have.
The seller told me he was gone try to fight the case with UPS, fix the trans, and send it back to me.
Last Wednesday I send a email to the seller to see if the trans was sent back to me and got no answer till Saturday.
On Saturday he speculated that the trans could got shipped on Friday 24.
I sent the seller another email on Monday and still nothing from him.
As of today I just feel like I got majorly F****ed on this deal since I have no trans, no money and 1/3 of a 5 speed swap.
I've been kind and patient till now but I am getting really pissed. I told the seller that I would eat the lost of the parts i don't really care at this point all I want is either the trans or the money for the trans back.
I don't know what to do anymore and I'm really frustrated at this point.

That's what I get for not trying to get something locally I guess

Stop trying to deal with ups, They suck! I had same issue with a chipped engine head i bought. Same exact freakin story. supposedly "poor packaging". I bugged them enough and then they said that only the seller can get a claim, and they cannot reach him. I just gave up. Just go to pick N pull man, Or whatever they call it in ur state. Im sure u guys should have something.
