I don't get why the want for coilovers if you're just DD'ing the car?? You will have a much better time with a nice spring/strut combo. There's a lot of different variables when it comes to a coilover set up and I don't think that you're interested in dealing with it. And seconded for respraying the hood with real paint. It's a clean car. Leave it that way.

Now, fun aside.
Paint the hood, it won't be THAT expensive
Maintain the transmission.
Look at simple things, such as springs and shocks. You don't need freaking coilovers on a DD E34. Hell I track mine and I don't even have coilovers
the stacked stickers look stupid
The stock E34 stereo is quite good. Sub is all you need and a nice deck, leave the rest alone. Hell get a C43 if you want a nice factory deck, or CD43.
Enjoy it
Wheels are last damnit

Koni sport struts and shocks. Bilstein sports if they don't make koni. Then get H&R race springs and be done. Please get the hood repainted don't rust it for the time being. Looks clean keep it that way!~ Puch Cafe. ~ Do business? feedback ~ Check out my leather company ~

Remove stickers, get smaller wheels if you must, and spend 2 years doing all the maintenance and driving the car.
That last part I have found is very useful. I have daily driven many projects, if driven and fixes taken place when they come up over 2 years, the car is typically one of the most reliable out there. So long as you dont cut corners and buy cheap aftermarket parts (chip).
Look at this as a second chance.sigpic
