    Thanks man!

Tore the M3 down completely the past two days. The temps went over 60 so we did work.

Started Last night by removing the dash and all heating/cooling bits.

Then we stripped out the ENTIRE interior.

The windshield had a crack in it so we had some fun and took out some stress :)

With EVERYTHING stripped down to the frame we had to dispose of the shell. So we got out the sawzall and a few metal blades and went to town.

    Front Clip Removed

    Half of the roof removed

Rest of the roof cut off

    Roof + Strut Towers

    Firewall removed

    Almost done

All Loaded up and off to the Steel Recycling place. Last time anyone will own this car! Sad to see her go but hopefully the german gods will watch over her :P

Brake Pads came in today. Hawk HPS pads. From what I've read they're low dust, low squeal, and grip much better than stock but will definitely be a down grade from the Brembos I had on the 3G. These will be strictly street pads and maybe some light auto x. I will get a set of track pads when the time comes.

Third set of wheels for the e30 are in the garage. TE37's are getting sold for sure now. The style 5's might get pc'd gloss black and im pretty sure i've decided on the color for the e30.

    1-23-12

Bushings finally came in today and the spacers and bolts came in so I can swap to the E36 steering rack which is a 3 lock to turn rack. Much improved over the e30's. Also got the correct throttle cable to use.

    From L to R
Top Row -Rear Trailing Arm Bushings, Rear Subframe mounts, Differential mount
Bottom Row- Steering Rack Swap, Offset differential studs/spacers/screw and M3 offset LCAB's

    Throttle Cable

    M3! :)

    1-25-12

UUC Coated Stainless Steel brake lines and Clutch line. I also got a magnetic drain plug as the old one was pretty stripped.

    1-26-12

Rear Strut bar came in =D

I love wrinkle black coating :)

Because you guys love pictures so much :P

I'll take many more when I pull the motor.

    1-10-2013

    Hankook Makeup Products?!?!

    15x7 +38 SSR Type C 9lbs a piece!

Need to give them a good cleaning and should be good to go. I will be running adapters on them since my friend that I will be tracking with drives an 01 MR2 (undergoing a 2zz swap currently) which is 4 lug as well. That way we can share wheels if need be. The adapters will be something like 22mm rear to give a final offset of +15 in the rear and 18mm front to give +20 in the front.

Also went to town with the motor today.

    Half way through

    Near the end

Removed the radiator, AC condenser, all AC lines, fan shroud, overflow tank, windshield wiper reservoir, removed exhaust manifolds, and unplugged everything that needed to be unplugged as well as every vacuum line that was connected to the motor. All that's left is to loosen the motor and tranny mounts and separate the driveshaft at the guibo and lift her out.

Motor will be pulled tomorrow or Saturday hopefully and then have the s50 in by sunday/monday.

    1-12-13

Got off at 4 and by 10:30 both motors and transmissions were out. Had my dad and my good friend Alan (mr2) helping me, it was a good time.

I kept forgetting to take pictures so I took them whenever we got snagged on something we couldn't get off or out. Anyways enjoy the pictures!

    All out!

Then the M3 was in the way so we had to move it. (insert chain + truck = V)

    Time for motor #2

    Both out

    Empty E30 bay!

    M20 (E30 Motor)

Both Motors and where we stopped for the night.

    1-14-14

Sorry for the cell pics but I got some more work done today. I got the entire front suspension/steering rack removed from the shell today so it can be sold.

^ That's another e30 back there btw haha. Currently working on fixing it to sell. Paid $400 for it and rebuilt the motor with new gaskets and she drives beautiful now. Just need a rear (convertible) window for it.

A picture I had on my phone that I took sunday morning after the motors were pulled.

    Came home to these

and my girlfriend wanted some HID's so I bought her a set from DDM for her '12 Mazda 3. They shouldn't be too bad as they have halogen projectors in there from the get go.

Haven't posted here in a while but the build has gone in a completely different direction than before.

Hella Smiley's in. I was thinking about retrofitting with mini H1 projectors but i'm worried about the patterns in the glass. Might look into picking up a set of Bosch ones instead. Are the Depo ones worth retrofitting? They are considerably cheaper and come with brand new glass/acrylic whatever it is.

    Morimoto Ballasts and XB35 Bulbs

Condor Speed Shop s50 Motor mounts and tranny

95 M3 Cosmo Black Parts Car for the S50

Planning on staying 4 Lug and selling the TE37's and getting 15" SSR Type C's as well as the RX7 brake upgrade.

Fog Lights pulled from a yard, just need to order the acrylic to replace the lens.

944 Booster. I also have the e36 oil pan, dipstick, and pickup tube laying around in a box. All I need is the throttle cable.

The replacement stickers for the the te37s came in from Eric

Also Picked up 4 cans of R12 Freon, 2 cans of oil, and a charge hose for the AC. It will be for my dad's vert as I probably won't run AC in mine.

    10/5/12

    Few more updates.

Shocks for the rear bumper came in so tomorrow after work or sunday I will work on fitting/modifying the rear bumper.

Also forgot to picture that I picked up another windshield wiper motor from the yards a few days ago as they like to go bad/ frequently needed.

Now the craziest deal that I have probably ever come across. Re-Upholstered Vinyl Drivers and Passengers Seats in almost perfect condition for $10. Offered to give the guy $50 per seat and he wouldn't take it. I'm very grateful for people like that. I will see how much it will be to get the rear bench seat done to match and I will sell the houndstooth seats.

Found these at the junkyard brand new in the trunk of a 325es :) $3 for OEM

    Various Seals

Z4M Shifter, Timing Belt, Tensioner, Alarm

    Finally got the correct ODO

Spare E Harness and an I harness for the head swap

    Crackfree Dash ;)

    How she sits currently.

Here are some pictures of the $800 Jeep :)

I will be restoring the plastic pieces sometime soon and buffing/polishing it. Jeep just needs tires and maybe a windshield which has a small hairline crack in it. It also needed a oil pump, which has been replaced. (PITA btw)

    10/27/12
    UPDATE!

    Euro Grills

USDM Grills on the left and EDM grills on the right

    Hella Euro Smiley Projector Headlights

Free Euro clock he threw in

Just placed on there, not mounted yet. I still need to paint the kidney's trim black.

I'll also be painting the trim rings on the Smilies black. I decided not to go with the black depo headlights like I originally planned because these have a much better output/cutoff.

I am. That as before I had done the research. Eta m20 with the 885 head. From what I have gathered that's the best for boost. I need to edit the OP. I want to be boosted by Christmas. So she can go into paint around January.

Here's a picture of the front with the headlight grills on. They will be replaced with euro ones once the car gets painted. Have too much maintenance to do right now.

Also, here is what I pulled from the yard today.

Cleaned the head, valve cover, and intake manifold up

Here is what I pulled today.
    Head with full valve-train
    Throttle Body
    Intake box with AFM
    325IS ECU (173)
    iFPR, Fuel Rail, and Injectors
    Thermostat Housing/ w thermostat
Fan and Water Pump also their pulleys as well as the crankshaft pulley.
IS Lip Spoiler for my dads E30
    Wires
    Coolant Overflow from an IS
    Bunch of Misc stuff.

The timing belt was still on the car so it wasn't snapped. Pistons weren't damaged and valves look good. I will at minimum be replacing all the seals and have it pressure tested at the machine shop and checked to make sure that its true.

Also I read somehwere to grab the brake booster from the 325is, is this credible? If so I'll go back and grab it tomorrow.

11-25-12 Scrapped the m20 build as I found a wrecked 95 M3 for cheap to use as a donor

Cleaned one of the wheels up with dawn dish soap + water and removed whats left of the stickers on that wheel. :yum:

Also got Late Model Plastic Bumper on in the front

The rear needs modification so I'm waiting on mounting hardware so I can start modifying it.

Also Found the fuel pump acces unbolted, so I'm going to remove the pump to see what the P/O was doing/trying to do.

Vacuumed the interior finally. Front seats have two tears in them but its not that bad.

Also hit the bay with a little more degreaser .

Removed the rear windows to check for rust. Also can't decide on popouts or fixed windows in the rear. I have both.

    Extra Parts

Picked up a new set of wheels today for the E30. Only flaw is that the stickers are peeling. There is literally no rash on the wheels. 17x7.5 offset 40. I will probably run 15-20 mm spacers. I'll see after I test fit them. I won't be going for slammed, the gap will be similar to my Eclipse.

Edit : 3-11-13 Sold these to refinish the RS'

Thank you. The 3G is actually being parted to help fund this, just trying to decide in which direction to go on.
