    Check that wheel gap waffleswaffleswaffles!

    Story time!!

Well I bought the LS1 with the intentions of putting it into the e30. I started doing research and all was going well-ish. I started second guessing my idea and was looking at other options. A lot of my local buddies have e36 m3's and a few have e46 m3's. Now i'm still only 21 years old so insurance on an e46 would be bat shit crazy, so that leaves me with an e36. The next day I get on CL, bimmerforums, m3forums etc and start looking for a shell and bam I find a pretty clean Avus blue shell located in Memphis with 86k on the original shell and a clean title with all matching VIN #s. On top of that it comes with AC Shnitzer wheels and TEIN SS coilovers for a decent price. Perfect! My motor is a 04 GTO pullout with only 82k on it. Well as you guys might know the GTO came with the ls6 block and intake. That brings me to my next step. My plans for the motor are:

    243/799 heads
    LSx "StreetSweeper-HT" Hydraulic Roller Camshaft
    Specs: 228*-232*-111*-.612"-.600"
    Lunati Micro-polished Dual Valve Springs
    Seven Degree Chromemoly Retainers
    Hardened Seven Degree Valve Locks
    Steel Shelled Viton Valve Seals
    FTI Pro-Series Hardened Push Rods
1 off set of long tubes
    Possibly an ported TB

S/D Tune by Frost at PAS

or the same thing but with an MS3 cam from TSP.

Both should put me well over 400 rwhp N/A with torque breaking 400 as well!

Before people start questioning my decision here is what I based my decision on:

    E30 vs e36

    Pros for e36
-Can run 255 tires vs 225 for e30 without major body work
-36 tires options at that size vs 4 for e30
-Can use stock brake booster vs running manual brakes or hydroboost for e30
-More engine bay space = more space for manifolds/downpipes
    -Stronger rear end
-Ls1 swap has been done quite a few times so there is a lot more info

    Pros for e30
    -Better Looking
-Already have a fully re-built car
    -Lighter
    -Handles Great

Some pictures of the new project that i'm picking up this weekend unless something goes horribly wrong. 95 M3 Avus Blue 86k original miles.

And of course, more pictures of the LS.

    Wish me luck!

Appreciate it but it's time to clean it up and have a shiny car again. :)

E30 is still alive. Saving for paint for the Delphin Shell.

I search "delphin" in members rides, read through your whole thread expecting a delphin paint job to compliment the great work you've done, get to last post and see you're going to swap everything onto a delphin shell! Can't wait to see the skeleton transplant completed. Good luck and Merry Christmas!
