time to go dumpster diving aka junkyard searching. when I was your age, I used to pocket the small things that I could turn around and sell and eventually I had money to buy Ireland Engineerings springs. You can cross that off your list though ;)

I've always had success with a "caramel wheel"

Does the A actually mean automatic? I've had a bunch of 323iA that were all manuals.

You know, I had a 2000 328Ci once upon a time. Albeit I WAS in the auto industry at the time, but I got the local stealer to take care of that little issue for me.

Best of all they gave me a brand new e90 loaner that I promptly drove to the Keys for a week to save the miles on my car. They covered it under a Service Bulletin. Somehow never quite made recall status.

It may hold no bearing this many years later, but it's worth checking out for anyone in that position. Especially since my '46 had over 180k on the clock at the time.

Not a dime from my pocket.

Were these mounted when the subframe failed?

On my car they were missing. When I bought the car there was a "Colin Chapman" style weight reduction thing going on where a bunch of stuff was missing that seemed to shave ounces. Ive been adding those parts as I come across them. This was one that I had planned on adding when I did the rear subframe.

I've been waiting a long time to stare at this thing...

I'll get better pics with a better camera during the day, but after owning the steering wheel for2 years and waiting almost3 weeks since I paid fur the hub I finally got to install my Italvolanti steering wheel. Still need to figure out the horn situation because it's got a mind of it's own whether it's connected or not...
