I'm an e30 guy who cheated and became addicted to 2002s, but once that addiction became too tame, I moved onto 911s. Now that my life is spiraling out of control, I'm bringing back a series 2 G-Wagen and a Range Rover Classic.

Longest ownership of my E30 life. Hard to say there was a better one than this one. I went a little too far, but being a bachelor who doesnt want a fast car that pulls on M3s and 911s...

It really is a smoking deal with the car. It has me tempted but I have my own headaches

This thread is fantastic! This car went through a huge transformation and I love seeing transformation threads like this. Great work, Simon! Really well done. Any future HPDE plans with your current E30 or Datsun?

The E30 is destined to be a daily, so the changes are generally to make it a better DD. A 5-speed and a stroked 2.8 M20 is the plan to make it fun. Rubber bushings & Functioning A/C for comfort. Thats about it.

The Datsun on the otherhand was destined to (eventually) be a Vintage Racer. 2020 should have it doing auto-x, HPDEs and hopefully VARA University in January (our local Vintage group's basic start towards being licensed). Hopefully by 2021 VARA will be well aware of the car and I should have the safety items they want it to have so I can race wheel to wheel (still need a fuel cell, fire suppression and more roll-bar/cage mods. Im trying to avoid making it 100% racecar because I still want to drive it TO the track, and in the canyons to get as much use out of it. I know this means it wont be the best racecar, but Im not racing for trophies anyways

I just submitted this to BAT, I'll be sad to see it go but at the same time, I feel bad for not enjoying it more while I have owned it.
