    thirdlobe 318is

So I guess after doing my intro I needed to create a build thread of things I am currently doing or planning in the near future.

I bought my 318is for pretty much top dollar because I felt it was money well spent and things I would have done my self. Here is the previous owners build thread.

Here is a picture of how the car sits today.

Here are some of the things I just bought for it:

A front windshield sunshade - I need to keep this pristine dash from cracking! lol

I also picked up with the help from Blunttech.com a set of euro trim for my bumpers and a IS lip.

    pics:

my near future plans for the car:
    - fix window switch - DONE
    - custom set of Fifteen52 Tarmacs 17x9 et10 front and et0 rear
    - Falken 912's 205/40/17
    - fix blower resistor
    - paint and install IS lip
    - install euro trim to bumpers
    - re-wrap my M-Tech II 370mm steering wheel
    - Mobil 1 oil change

What my next goal after I clear some money is:
    - S52 SWAP and everything that goes into that - as time goes I will update this.

    Thanks for looking guys,
    Phil

picked up some stock tweet covers and a stock steering wheel of some sort so I can send out my m-tech II to get wrapped.

Still trying to figure out if I should go V8 or S52.

In the mean time I am also looking for an old CB650 or an XS650 to start a Cafe project.

Here are some recent pics of the car:

          Interior Shots:

I have since my last update in October (LMFAO) installed new mounts on the trans and engine. Installed my Style 5's with Falken 912 205/40/17 using Adapetec Speedware adapters with a 18mm push up front and 20mm in the rear.

Also my IS lip and euro trim is now on the car.

Didn't the previous owner just do engine and tranny mounts??
He definitely did the leg work to make the car solid. You're making it look great :)

He did but he used polyurethane mounts and they were very rigid for a racecar.

I replaced them with stock units for a smoother ride.

I take my daughter in it everyday so I like it nice a smooth. The coilovers make it stiff enough for me.

An M42 with poly mounts is pretty unbearable. The factory M42 mounts are so much better!!!

Oh nice, that's great to hear! I'll have to do mine with OEM ones as well then :)
