The servo is fitted to all mk2 clio's. the ones with the plastic wings.

Cut another bit out of the shell to see how things line up

Only finding more problems for the moment
The new quarter meets the pocket much higher up and further in so I will probably have to cut away part of the pocket and make something between the 2

Another problem is that the m3 outer wheel well is from a 2 door car and is now coming into contact with the rear door
Wheelwell has to go forward about an inch and also up about the same so I will have to cut a lump out of the wheel well

Another week another bit of progress.

One of the main problems in fitting a V8 into an e30 ( amongst many :D ) is the brake servo. There is no room at all in the stock location with a great big V8 stuck in there now.


So main options to to extend a pushrod and place the servo behind the headlight. Not a great solution as the rod will have a tendency to flex under hard breaking, it also looks messy


Another way to go is the hydraulic system from a V8 e34 or e28. It's a bit complicated for my liking for a braking system



A pedal box from the likes of tilton works well but you would loose servo assistance which I didn't want


The servo can also be placed in the battery tray position but I can't see a good way of making a linkage that will push in a straight plane to the servo

My preferred method is to mount the servo behind the glove box
Thanks to Dave the goat on the zone for this idea

Here is the original bracket that mounts the servo through the bulkhead


Make a plate to now mount it at 90 deg from original position


Then reinforce it to stop any flexing






Now a Clio servo is used as it is much smaller then the e30 servo as it has a dual diaphragm


Mounted in position




The fork of the servo has to be drilled and a new arm has to be welded to the swivel arm to push in the right position


Here it is bolted into another e30 I have lying around






Now I need to get a golf master cylinder as its nice and short and make up some kind of remote reservoir for it. Then it's another job off the long list :D
