I met up with a fella one day whoI learned many things about as gentlemanly conversation will do. He was a Mod A and T afficianado. I told him how I was on the fence with my first fun car purchase. He reminded me,as he so often is, of a wonderful Model A he had the chance to purchase for 200 in 1961. He was recently married and were expecting a son in the coing months. He regreted not buying it everyday. And I am certain you would, too

You can't buy them all but you cam have a few. You got a killer deal. Take the time. Do it right. You would be hard lressed to find another E30 M3 for the price.

Keep this thing. A slow project isn't a bad project. You'll be pissed at yourself forever if you sell it- you just need to do something to restart the motivation!

Yea send motor out to be rebuilt and then wait until you can finish it. You will kick your self everyday for the rest of time if you let a cheap e30 m3 go and then you'll always be thinking about what it could of been like to have it all done up nice.

No it wasn't. I worked at the shop who did the swap.

send the motor for a rebuild - you could even keep the shell and work on the rust yourself if the time allows for it and you want to keep yourself busy. but! if the funds allow for you to take care of the rust and the rest of the paint work then by all means do it. just don't sell it!!

You'll definitely regret selling it, so don't do that unless you need the money.

My suggestion is to bring the motor to a shop as Eric said. Then bring the chassis to a restoration shop. Farm out the skilled labor for the nitty gritty that you don't have time to really dig into - the rust repair and bodywork, and the engine rebuild. If this car has a clean title and history then you've got plenty of room in potential value.

Pull the block and take it all to a shop for repair. Use this to jump start the motivation for the project.

considering how much you paid for this car you would be very silly to sell it. Especially when the price of E30 M3's are only going North

Heres a fine example how things can change..

6 Years ago I could pick up a R32 gtr vspec for 30K.. now they are pushing 60/70K because demand is increasing and numbers are dropping.. E30 M3's are in the same category

Lol! Thats a little extreme but not wholly inaccurate. It was garaged up until the last 9 months or so. And that's my debate. Send it to the shop, sell it or wait longer and do it myself.
