they're my wife's dream wheels :-) still kind of shocked we finally found a set. we're both really happy with them!

yeah the caps are kinda embarrassing aren't they lol.

i'm swapping the bumpers out because of a really sub par rechrome job. they're completely rust free now after sandblasting but the re-chrome and clear are just not good enough.

so I don't want to take that on until the ITBs are done, and i've been kinda neglecting the rubber bits.

    too small 195/45-16s

    Fixed 205-50/16 225/45-16

driver front is parked near my garage drain, so front tire is lower than normal. running H&R sport vert springs all around.

I do love my Yokohamas .. Unfortunately they don't come in the correct size for 16" Alpinas so I had to go with Dunlop Direzzas. I'll have everything mounted up in a couple of days and post

I am glad they arrived safe and sound. Glad they went to a good home and they look great. Definitely need the larger tire.

well the alpinas got here safe and sound. one of the 16x8s has about 6" of light rash, but nothing a wheel restoration won't take care of of.

caps are new but one needs restoration

you can tell the tires they came with are for a much smaller car :-)
they are about 30mm too small in diameter front and back
    195/45-16 vs 205/50-16 on 16x7 and 225/45-16 on 16x8

this is not quite the look I'm after.. BOOM CHICK BOOM-BOOM CHICK BOOM-BOOM

gonna miss these.. will try them on the IX but not hopeful - 4 brand new tires and a new spare wheel too.

    tire height differences

obviously the low riders have the car's weight on them

I like the engine bay picks!!!!
lol. I've owned 7 of them, 2 of them verts, 4 of those IX coupes, 1 a 318is. I'm down to 3 E30s now and one of those will be a parts car.

Actually chicagolande30 stopped by today with his 92 S52 convertible. It's exactly 2 years newer than mine, same color, same options from the factory. His is a late model lowered and ground controlled, 24v swapped and freshly painted, mine a DB car Euro'd and soon to be MT1d, Alpina'd and stroked. Both of us have windscreens, hardtops and huscos. So lots of fun doing comparisons... Even cooler is he lives close by. We met through R3V.

Check out his 3 piece Schmidts

    a sea of headrests..

    Love hoods up pics

    and.. another engine bays shot
