**update**
Idle is now tuned :) 2 more days and insurance kicks in and I will tuned part throttle on the street :) getting very excited.. not only is it my first time driving a twincharged car but my first time driving with a real tuning solution with datalogging and MSII. Dont want to hate on Warchip but just tuning idle was sooo much easier.Leave a comment:

I would just use one of the know proven spark maps, I dug one up that people have had good luck with (and had fun reminiscing looking for it :) )
http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showpos...6&postcount=54at around 30-50kpa between 1000-1500rpm for my idle. For sure you are right 70kpa no reason to run idle timing. thanks for the catch I had just copied the map on http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showpos...6&postcount=54 without looking to much at idle...but indeed it sucks to bog on take off.
Got that block sorted out.
70kpa 17.0 18.0 20.0 24.0
50kpa 15.0 15.0 18.0 24.0
30kpa 15.0 15.0 17.0 24.0
800 1000 1500 2000 rpmLeave a comment:

Hey Thanks for the map...It does look pretty smooth I may just give it a try.Leave a comment:

Also meant to mention that you really don't need that many rows in the boosted range, they are better used under the 100kpa area.Leave a comment:

With EFI you have very quick response to load changes, so going from cruise to higher loads when cracking the throttle instantly puts you in a different spot on the map where it lowers the advance.Leave a comment:

Hey Keith :) Yes totally.
When I tuned my car in just Roots type SC I noticed Corky bell was right on when he said for cruising you didnt need much timing and when I enter boost it starts very instantly so cant run much timing at tip in boost..
I built these maps going the very smooth approach and conservative way then build from there Im sure I can squeeze more timing in there. Just need to get my idle down from 1450rpm..lol... my car sounds like am reving the engine neighbors are not liking me right now...LOL...Leave a comment:

Pics aren't showing but typically you will have higher advance at cruise loads(~35-40), light loads and leaner mixes need more time ;)Leave a comment:
