Isn't the bypass valve there so when your in vac it dumps excess pressure?

I've had that intercooler on my ebay watch list for quite some time... I've read that these help with turbo spool...

these are soooo much more effecient its crazy. Corky bell in his book supercharged describes it best. Its not how long the fin tubes are its how many of them you have in total and in this setup it does the job of cooling my twincharged really well plus you need the same side in and out 2.5" tubes.
