We bled the brakes and that went very smoothly. We bled the clutch, and that's where we ran into some issues. There is a different clutch that different model years subies run (push or pull type clutch) we have a pull type clutch and received a push type. Well, it didn't work. Once the clutch was bleed, the pedal wouldn't move. It was stuck! We are now awaiting on the new clutch.
Here are some pics
This is a sensor for the brake lights
Because we converted this to a permanent FWD transmission (RWD for our purposes) we needed a block off plate for the rear of the trans. So I built one out of some 3/8" aluminum and powder coated it black. I also made the other block off plate on the top of the trans (the stock one has a huge hole in it) and did that in black as well.
This is the top plate:
And here's both of them
We also got started on the axles today. Pontiac--->Subaru.
Test fitting/measuring
Cut and beveled. Ready for weld. Don't forget the sleeve!!
Jigged up
Welded/ground. Sleeve will be welded tomorrow.
We are hoping these welds will hold. The sleeve should help immensely as well.
