    My 89' 325i Koko

Bought this gorgeous thing last summer (2012). Im a couple months behind on documenting this build but here it goes.

    First tank of gas

new emblems made a HUGE difference

new shift boot. big upgrade from the last ones

had to pick up this little guy because the stock shift knob had a big crack on the backside. everytime id shift into second it would just come completely off. frikin most annoying thing...

new control arms and bushings which to this day i have still neglected to put on lol

    new air filter

had to modify how the afm was mounted so that it would point down so the filter would clear a coolant hose

old fuse box cover was faded and the clip that holds it on was broken. got a new cover and all new led smart fuses

decided to black out my kidneys

    bought a tow hook

    FLIP KEY!!!

Got some tweeter pods off CL for $15!

my valve cover was looking pretty sorry so i gave her a new lick of paint
    before

    after cleaning

primed and 2 coats of vht wrinkle

    let the scrapping begin

it took several hours and annoyingly tedious precision with and exacto knife but i think it came out nice. not perfect but I'm satisfied

cleared. new felpro gasket and back on. intake manny is next!

I got the key off eBay. There's only one e30 flip Key on eBay so it should be easy to find. And about the air filter. I won't know if there's any power gain because someone how already ripped out the air box when I bought it. But Mryang is right. If its a true cai (which mine is not) you will gain "some" power but you won't be able to notice it. You can hear it tho!

Thanksgiving weekend project. I'm learning to take advantage of long periods of time where I DON'T have to work or drive any where. So... I painted my intake mannifold. Started with this ugly dirty thing

After a couple hours of a wire wheel and drill and lots of acetone I had polished it up to this.

I think I turned out great. I picked a color that was different, something not many people use, but something that still looks good.

Its looking good. The blue intake manifold turned out awesome imo.

That intake manifold does look good, and I'm not even one for obscure colors like that. Keep up the good work
