Oddly enough the m30 that is in the m12 uses a smaller version of he m30 afm; alomost exactly like the m20 afm. Though it uses a m30 afm sized air box. So it was PERFECT for going from the 325i throttle body to the m30 afm. Plus it is 1/4 inch thick plastic so no need for the mount I made for the afm. Since the wiring is all in car I had to extent the coil pos/neg. The coil is now located up behind the pass. headlight cover. So this photo is the car in driving trim sans two cooling hoses. Still trying to find out what hoses to use for the m42 swap. So check it out. Here is how she will look going down the road. Hope y'all like.
Hey Perry, where did you route the ecu loom? Put a new hole in the firewall or something? I couldn't see from your pics. Currently attempting to do something similar with the wires

I saw it for sale for $7000 on panjo a few months ago. The posting said it didn't have any cooling yet. I guess the project died.

Did this M70-intake M20 ever run stable with this unorthodox modification of intake manifold harmonics?

Right. If the auto harness was deleted (was an afterthought from BMW to make e30's auto), then that would have been back. That green wire made me angry just a few days ago when we eliminated the OBC on a race car :(

no it wasn't the black and yellow. It was the green starter signal wire pin 27 on the dme. The wire from the key ignition set ran down to a plug that mist ahve plugged into something else then let power come back to the other wire which went to the c101. I just bypassed that

cool I need that alpha n tune for this intake. I called because I still couldn't get spark. Turns out I wasn't getting starter signal at the c101 so I followed it back and there was an odd plug that had two wired going into it. One from the ignition set which wad getting power then the one that went down to the c101. So I just cut if odd and wired them together. Boom fired first key turn

Still thinking about the Alpha-N idea?
