I love such projects, clean chassis/base to start with and dirty. Before and after should be epic.

Made a little progress today, :) Pulled off the drivers side control arm and swapped out the slave cylinder. Though the slave cylinder didn't seem to be leaking, but so far it seems like the clutch is now working properly. Now to get the wipers and speedo fixed. Also swapped the nonfunctional check panel with a good one.

Outer ball joint had probably 1/4 inch play in the socket. I'm still waiting for my new poly control arm bushings to come before I can finish up. Having the car jacked up allowed me to get a good look at the underside. Bad flex disc on the drive shaft, leaky power steering, leaky oil pan, and the tie rods have seen much better times. A couple pics of the old control arm.

First new control arm in place, along with a nice greasy view of the sub frame thanks to a leaky power steering line. maybe strut juice, Who knows.

The engine bay should make a great before and after pic, I can't wait to start getting it cleaned up. :D

Swapped out front two door panels with Houndstooth, I just need to find something to get the cloth portion on the cards cleaned up better, I cleaned them quite a bit but they still look far too dirty for my taste. I've still got some work to do to the rears before installation, and hunt down my black door pulls to complete the task.

Did a little cleaning of the door jambs as well.

Decided to go forth and swap out the tail light while the weather was nice.

Found a little rust forming, Cleaned it out and primed it up to keep it from getting any worse.

New tail needs a little polishing but looks tons better the previous light.

I'm really loving the color, I was really itching for diving board sedan and this one fits the bill perfectly. I can't wait to get it back out on the road. :)

While waiting for new parts and other things, I decided to pick a few things from the parts stash and get ready to swap the interior.

                    New rear seat installed

Preparing to clean up the "new" carpet, Hopefully it cleans up well. Nothing bugs me like stained carpet.

Front black leather sport seats, Definitely going to have some work to do to them but I'll think they will do for now. I'd really like to find a nice set of black comfort seats instead but that may be a while.

Elipsoids that need a little attention. Mostly the drivers side bracket and adjusters

I'll be ordering a timing belt, water pump, filters, plugs, thermostat, belts and all that good stuff tonight. :) I'm eternally uneasy driving a car that I don't know when the timing belt has been changed. A valve adjustment will also be on the list once I get on to working on the engine area of the car. Once I tear into that job I can get the engine bay cleaned up a little more too.

Another rainy day so I tried my hand at stitching up a little of the tired old leather, Probably only the second time I have attempted to sew ever. Somehow I avoided stabbing myself. Not trying to fool anybody with these seats, they are no award winners. They have been with me for several E30's and I think of the stitching as more of a rough wound dressing.

New parts on the way. :D One of many that will be sure to follow. Nothing too exciting but it is stuff that needs to be swapped out.
