    Hoodrat e30 shiz....

Hi, I'm Jon. Just registered here. I've been on bimmerforums for a little while now, and I've been trolling this place for a while now. I find this site a little more useful, so I figured I might as well take my coat off and stay a while.

I picked up an 86 325e about 3 weeks ago with no clutch pressure. I've since replaced the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder to no real avail. I've got a separate thread in the tech section about that.

Anyways, I plan on making this bucket into a beater drift pile. So, this should be a pretty budget minded, fun build. I haven't chronicled a project in quite some time, and I've got some free time on my hands this winter, so I figured the timing was right.

Here she is, in all of her $1,000 glory.

That's the only real picture I have uploaded as of now. I promise to get more when I wrench on her. In short, I hope to enjoy my time here, and my time building this thing. It's my first e30, and my first BMW. Something I've always wanted.

So, this is my obligatory "Hello fellow enthusiast community" post.

I think you'll enjoy it here. You need thick skin but, I think we are a little more accepting than Bimmer forums.

Welcome, :) That is insanely similar to the car I just bought, same color, same year, same clutch issue, same price, only difference is two extra doors.

            Welcome,

What's with the purple bandana, around the D/S mirror?

Edit: Damn you Duetschman, you beat me to the hazing.

Did it come with the gay licence plate faring or did you add that touch yourself?

I love it already. I'm in MI, so no crip membership for me. I suppose I'll get tossed in the "flamboyant" category. The plate fairing is there since I'm too cheap to buy a real fairing. I've had bandana's on all my old projects, so it's a tradition for me.

So far, this place is way better than bimmerforums. More my speed.

                        Thanks for the welcome homo's.
