So I got out of class a little early last night, it was to nice out not to get in a few hours in the garage! When I walked in the door my new throttle body was sitting on the couch!

Then out to the garage where I took my sand blasted tubes and started to weld up the sleeve stops!

I got them painted and one of them completely assembled!

Ignore the faded paint on the strut tube it'll get fixed. the nozzle on the can got plugged and I didn't have another one. I didn't get the second of done either........after I got the shock inside the tube and tried to thread the bolt I realized that the threads inside the bottom of the shock were a little messed up. Instead of forcing it....(thanks Adam) I decided I'd just get the proper size tap and chase the threads. Should be done tonight!

      Suspension Weekend!

Well I have a few updates.....it's lacking in pictures though.....my computer crashed yesterday and all the pictures from my camera are on there. This is what I had on my phone.

Well Saturday I started off putting together a set of front coils together for a local dude, they turned out well.

Then I got back to mine and finished them up! I'm super stoked on how well they turned out. All I have to do now is modify the top strut mount to fit the e28 camber plates.

Again.....I apologize for the crappy cell pictures.

I also worked on the from subframe. I have a load of pictures on how I did what I did, but they are inaccessible right now. Maybe I'll update this later if anyone is interested.

From the above shot you might not notice much but all the unwelded seams are now welded on the motor mount point. I also reinforced the mounting surface on the underside with an 1/8" plate.

I then boxed in the bottom and sides and drilled an access hole.

A little more clean up and paint and she'll be good to go.

Hopefully this weekend all the suspension will be on.....minus the rear shocks. I ordered 1977 Porsche 911 twin tube external adjustment shocks from Koni....they are out of stock in the states until mid June. I'll be borrowing some from a buddy to transport the car to my new shop.

      More to come!!

I'm looking forward to the pics. I've been eyeing the KA flares for a while. I'm just trying to justify the cost of a whole new wheel/tire setup.

I know that Kamotors is going to post of some pictures later this week, if you're patient I will have mine on possibly late June depending on how the rest of the build goes. I will burn a couple weekends moving the shop so that will set me back a bit. and I have to take some time to build a pipe bender for the cage...

Got a little bit more done this weekend. Started by undercoating everything, well almost everything. I didn't do the far back section as I have some other plans and I left the tranny tunnel untouched as I think I may have to modify to fit my transmission. I used Delphin EB-41 Polyurethane paint. It's lite, crazy durable and oil resistant!

I ended up going with the Bimmerworld CAB's, basically the same as treehouse and you can also replace the bushings in these.

Bolted those and the control arms on.

Bolted in the E28 camber plates, will do a little modification to the strut towers after I get the car moved.

                      Bolted in the suspension.

                      representing yo!

                      Suspension on!

Rebuilt M3 rack in. Need to get bigger zip ties for the inner portion of the boot.

                      Rear subframe and Diff mounted.

And that's where I stopped. My buddy had borrowed my subframe and I didn't get the bolts back for the trailing arms so I could't get those on. I should have it rolling this week. and have it moved to the new shop next weekend. All the suspension will come back off as I have some odds and ends to finish up, but it was fun to actually be able to bolt stuff onto the car!

                      Stay tuned!

Its made everything really easy to bolt on, I even did the diff by myself, all waist high, no crawling around on your back or need for jacks. I'm getting excited. it should really start to come together over the next couple of months!

Thanks! I'll get it moved next weekend, it'll go back on the rotisserie for a week at the most while I finish a few things up underneath. Then motor work starts and cage design. I'm hoping to have the motor fitted by the end of June as well as the cage.

Got the trailing arms and axles bolted up.

Then I pulled it off the rotisserie

Got the fenders mounted up for the move

                                Then the doors

Borrowed at set of rotors and DS2 from my buddy

Very rarely ever seen in this condition the Beast only leaves it cave after dark......

Then I cleaned the mess I made in the garage over the last couple of months.
