I know.. It's gay. But that's how it goes on.
And damn.. Spoke to soon!
So that didn't help... Then I got a 1215 code... Took the afm cap off and moved it a little bit... The track was kinda done for at idle.
Well put her in.. And then still the same. This time tho, it wouldn't go. Like not enough fuel.
So I have a new fuel filter putting that in today, also gunna test the fuel pump relay just because... And then hopefully go get a fuel pressure tester.. And get that tested!

I remembered when i did the timing i couldnt fit the belt on.. and i moved the crank one tooth over. So guess what i just did.. re did the timing, yup it was a blast:)
Well now she purs... mmmmm love it no more engine shaking and weird noises. Although still the idle is fucked up:( Not so bad as earlier, but still. and still spits the 1222 code!

So far its been running great after i reset the timing, still a little bit off on the idle. But i will try doing a smoke test soon. Hopefully can figure something out then.

So my VR valve cover gasket went to shit... Been leaking air for a while. Got a smoke test done today.. And time for a new one! Be putting it on today! :) yay!

These are the new ones... The old "1000" mile ones were leaking... So so far good day. Time to put it together:)

Put it all back together... And the valve cover... So far... It runs good. No more bad idle. Today is a good day:)

Its been a while since i posted here but i have been doing little work here and there on it, so far replaced tps, intake boot, afm, and little details here and there..
Just thought i would share with you guys... because im sooo happy!
Well 3 days and no more leak I took the trans off, and realized the second time i took my rear seal carrier off... i ripped the oil pan gasket. and thats where it was leaking. so i put a new oil pan gasket it on.. and she is good. for now. fingers crossed.

Also put the new afm, and got a new intake boot on from bmw. I think finally she is set for gold. and driving her is awesome! SOO happy!

I like this build a lot. It looks like you're good at taking initiative and listening to advice. A lot of people could take lessons from the direction you went with this car.

Thank you. It means a lot. I have out a lot of money into this to make it just back to a reliable dd.

Haven't been up to much lately.. Got some ie headers as well as a straight pipe to magnaflow muffler. It sounds beastly.. Put some new axles in her, rebuilt the front calipers, and a couple things here and there. I'll get some pictures later.

I never thought that a sorted out m20 could b a fun engine. The power is there when I need it. And it's reliable now.. As well as getting 25mpg on the hwy.

Currently saving up for some coils as well as bushings and wheels, etc.. Want to get all that taken care of before I do a swap.

I saw this car in person and I gotta say, it's a really clean car. All though it was night time the car was practically spotless, good job on building your car man, it makes driving your car that much more fun knowing you turned the wrench and made it drive able and put it together.
