congrats man on getting the obd2 swapped passed by the bar

so you are able to bolt obd 2 stock manifolds and obd2 stock down pipes if you use a modified subframe from arc asylum?

Great attention to detail. Sucks you have to deal with all that un-freedomness. The engine bay looks minty and very well done!

          Thanks guys.

I won't have good pics until I get the car up on stands again this weekend.
Here are a couple in the mean time.

          Correct.
Before I was informed that denting or slightly bending the stock pipes was acceptable I had to clearance the passenger side cab holder a bit to get it all to fit.
In the near future I plan to modify the downpipe and replace the cab holder.

Out of curiosity, when are you looking to sell those CABs? I am currently looking for a pair without having to purchase new/non-grinded treehouse sets.

What air filter are you using? K&N 57-1000?

Congrats on getting an OBD2 to successfully pass the BAR. How was your old downpipe "modified?" Was it cut & welded ? I think they just bent mine and "massaged" the subframe for the clearance. I have been lagging, but I just need to finish the CEL and then Im going to make my appt, assuming my CEL isnt illuminated

Yep exactly, I had an exhaust shop cut the flanges off and welded to a new fabricated downpipe. If they would have done some bending and flattening they probably could have gotten it to fit, alas that was not the case.

I was able to confirm with the ref that some bending is fine, so you should be ok.
Are you running the stock obd2 midpipe? I'd like to see some pics with the stock subframe in place.

Just saw the air filter question, it's an ecis intake.
Pricey but comes with the needed CA legal sticker.

Wild that in Amerika one would need to do this... think of our forefathers, coming back from war, modifying cars and deleting pieces of their motorcycles for speed, style and because WTF.

Anyhow, good work subscribing to the rules and getting what you want out of it.

Im going OBD1 so I have M50/S50 manifolds and a S50 downpipe. Its not cut & welded luckily. Subframe clearance is kind of visible here

No pics of the underside with the downpipe though. I will probably take some down the road after I am done with the BAR and getting a new exhaust done. Im leaving it as OEM as possible right now so they dont give me a hard time

Gotcha, thought you were running obd2 exhaust for some reason.

Nice! They are a bit less expensive than the K&N. Thanks!

I am so close. Just need to get this, replace a post cat 02 and my Cam Pos Sensor (those are my only 2 trouble codes), then weld the down pipes to the cats and I'm Bar ready! I almost gave up. Thanks for the encouragement not to throw in the towel!

It's worth it to me if it keeps more crap out of the air.
Some of the laws are ridiculous but CA air has gotten much cleaner over the years.
That said I burned a shit load of gas idling and driving around trying to set my monitors just to pass emissions, oh well.

Happy to help but beware you may not pass with welded down pipes.
I did not and had to find another set of midpipes, on top of all the other modifications I needed to make to get them to fit.
