Test drove a 318i vert, I think it was slower than my buddy's high school d16 honda, but man do they handle corners. It really is the poor man's m3, but either way, sexy vert. 24v and a turbo is sexy.

The car is now located in Louisville, Ky. I just ordered everything and the build starts in 2 weeks. I'll continue progress to this thread.

Looks good, Gordy! Have you done anything in the turbo department on this car?

The turbo project has officially started. Front bumper was stuck, had to drill old torx bolts out. Cleaned up AC condensor and various other parts, goodbye brackets, etc. Fabbed up some mounts for the intercooler and have that mounted. Turbo was too big for the space under the manifold, yanked TCD and have tubular tig top mount going in. New downpipe & mandrel bent intercooler piping to follow. Picked up a Innovate Motorsports SCG-1, and other supporting goodies. Slowly but surely this will come together. Thought I'd share a little progress over the last couple of weeks. Post more soon...
