E36 is a beast and quite a comfortable driver. The Z is like driving a go cart and the seats are the least comfortable thing in the world....both cars are fun to drive though

Progress update: car is back from paint and looks amazing with all new front and rear bumper black trim! Motorsport handles add an excellent touch. While my buddy worked on o-ringing the block and getting the bottom end assembled for the most part, I took out the horribly stained tan carpet and resprayed it with the trim to "desert tan" and from experience, it does look like desert sand! Things are slowly but surely coming along and I'm excited every time I look at the car...

          Looking good man.

Are you using copper or stainless for the ring wire?
What's your crank case setup going to be btw?

I used stainless steel for the rings and right now, I haven't really decided about the ccv plumbing....we're going to not run the vac line from the cc back to the throttle body, so eventually run it to a catch can....probably just run a filter off of it for right now

For the most part, got the engine together....have to still bolt on all the accessories, prime and test the motor, etc....but making progress!

Spent sometime working on the exterior as well....only pics I didn't take were of the KAMotors rally flaps! And the interior is a light tan, not dove gray as it may look

Don't have any pictures to post at the moment since I'm away for a bit, but the last couple of nights, I've got all the front put back together, engine bay is, for the most part, completely assembled....all that is left is to wire up the econoboost v2 guage, AFR guage, and reassemble the interior....hopefully will do so tonight!

Attaching your photos makes for so much more work than hosting them on somewhere like photobucket.

Otherwise, I approve of this thread.

In the grand scheme of things, I never really considered attaching pictures as "work.". But I understand it would make it easier to post a lot of pics

And easier for us to see them, rather than clicking on each picture.

Really clean looking engine, I love the build so far and you really have been moving fast!

I love the interior, was it all reupholstered?

And your choice on headgasket, is that copper or a sprayed mls? And why did you go that route? For your power goals, and the fact that you have o-rings and arp hardware already, you would'be probably gotten away with a stock hg right?

Oh also, what does the dms kit use for management?
